Through my study of graphic design at a tertiary level, I have familiarised myself with the principles of visual communication by resolving my skills in developing typographic voice, layout, visual hierarchy, colour palette, print production and branding for collateral across a number of areas. I am also familiar with the research and concept development phases of the design process, as well as preparing return briefs and presenting design ideas, transferring these skills to other disciplines of design also. My skills in these areas have transferred to my freelance work with The Beauty Clinic by Leanne in which I am overseeing digital design, marketing and social media strategy.
I have worked across a variety of mediums including photography, experimental print publications, marketing collateral, digital presence, typography, logo design and formal print work. I also familiarised myself with design constraints, as well as means for experimentation, surrounding work in these particular mediums, such as understanding technicalities in print, composition of subject matter for marketing and digital presence, and importance of readability when developing typography.
